A full chest x-ray is only just about 45 millirem (measurement of heath effects from radiation - Radiat Equivilent Man) So in the region of 150 mR in total. The average human receive 250 mR per year from background radiation. A few x-rays once contained by awhile won't have any measurable increase contained by the chances of contracting cancer or other syndrome. I've had loads of xrays. About 7 contained by 2007 just for starters (I'm REALLY clumsy!) I have my first in 1987. So after 20 years of them I still haven't get cancer x
