can a herpes culture be performed on a red pimple-like bump if it isn't oozing any fluid? do they pop the pimple to do the experiment? how long does it usually take to win the results? will a doctor ever look at the sore and immediately know that its not herpes?
please impart any info, my bf just get tested today and i won't be able to tell to him untill later tonight and i want to know what to expect.Herpes culture?
They own to be able to procure some fluid from the sore to be able to do a swab culture. They may choose to do a blood interview but in any case the results won't come put a bet on for about a week.
Be discreet because doctors have be known to misdiagnose family by visual inspection - calling something that isn't Herpes, Herpes or calling Herpes something else . . . it is best to stir ahead and ask for the blood test. Good luck!

If its herpes it will be own clear puss like pack on it the liquid will rub past its sell-by date it without popping it. They will freshly rub a swab on it and send it to the lab. Most likly not herpes its usually close to a cluster of small clearish bumps. Plus you can feel it tingling as it runs down your nerves a few days formerly it shows up. Its a very strange intuition.
A doctor can usually look at it and know if it is or isnt herpes.
If they take a culture of it, they will want to open it to capture the fluid. Results may be available today, but it usually takes a year or two, depending on their caseload.
You could call the clinic he go to and just ask them how long it would bring for results.
