Has anyone either recieved or donated bone marrow and met their donor or know someone who have? Was it special?Have you met your donor or know anyone who have?
You can send correspondence to your donor 1 year from your transplant thru the National Bone Marrow Registry. It is later between the donor and receiptiant as to whether they want to meet contained by person. I know of a few empire who have met their donor and they said that it be a humbling experience.
I already know who my donor is going to be, its my younger brother and he turned out to be a perfect meeting. I will be having my transplant surrounded by the next 4 to 6 weeks
my sister have 2 children. twins. she gave 1 up for adoption when they be both months old. when my nephew needed bone marrow for his cancer recouping, there be an instant response. They had a Perfect clash of Marrow. Later that year, he recovered wanting to meet his donor. the donor required to see who he helped, too. it turned out the donor be my nephew's twin brother! there be shock and my sister came and hugged her child who she put up for adoption. in attendance wasn't a dry eye in the hospital. subsequently that day the 2 brothers get to know each other and realize that they were designed to know each other surrounded by this world. and today, well, they're contained by my living room playing- but they are the best of friends.
PS. what's scary is that my nephews lived 2 miles away from respectively other all of their lives.
