The mosquitoes are horrible here... is there some variety of recipe for something I can safely use on children? One that REALLY works? Things similar to OFF, Avon skin so soft, even my favorite Burt's Bees stuff are just out of use well plenty.Home made personal insect repellant?
Believe it or not, using fabric softener sheets works great as a mosquito repellent. Just transport a fresh sheet, and gently rub it across any exposed areas of skin (arms, legs, collar, and face if they're extremely aggressive) and the chemically-based scent of the sheet will maintain the bugs off of your kids.
I've be using this method for years, and it's never failed me even so.
If there be such a thing.here would be no need for mass manufactured insect repellents. If they aren't working in good health enough, after you'll have to stay inside.
There is NO such piece as a recipe for a home-made insect repellent. This is what I do. What they have on the store shelves is what near is. That's all.
Not sure at hand is anything else out there. But speaking of Avon, they own a new but spray near a new ingredient contained by it. Have you tried that? I use it here in Louisiana and it works great. I also use profoundly of citronella candles that I set around my back porch when I am out at hand. I know you can't cover the whole courtyard but it might help a bit.
Coppertone puts out a product call Bug n Sun with deet and 30spf sun protection, its for children, but as an mature I use it aaaall the time. It's also got that sweat protection so your not have to put it on all the time unless it get wiped bad. i live in the south and garden alot. I'm a mosquito magnet and this stuff really works. I also hear that Bull frog finally put out a similar product recently.
As far as a homemade remedy, vinegar. But, it in recent times doesn't do the job for me instinctively.
