don't listen to that person----yes you can still hold it
Most people infected near HSV-2 are not aware of their infection. However, if signs and symptoms occur during the first outbreak, they can be slightly pronounced. The first outbreak usually occurs in two weeks after the virus is transmitted, and the sores typically heal in two to four weeks. Other signs and symptoms during the primary episode may include a second crop of sores, and flu-like symptoms, including fever and swollen glands. However, most individuals beside HSV-2 infection may never have sores, or they may own very mild signs that they do not even perceive or that they mistake for insect bites or another skin condition.
Most people diagnosed next to a first episode of genital herpes can expect to have several (typically four or five) outbreaks (symptomatic recurrences) inside a year. Over time these recurrences usually decrease within frequency.
The doctor is just scare you. The window extent for the herpes antibodies to show up in the blood is 3 months, no more than six. If you haven't have sexual relations within the later 6 months, then you are fine. I don't know why the doctor would read aloud that. Did you tell the doctor that you haven't have a partner in over a year? Anyways, don't verbs yourself.
